About Us

Although ELAA was only formally established in 1984, the land has been designated as allotments for nearly 200 years and is owned and governed by the Diocese of Southwell.  There are currently over 100 plots of various sizes, situated on the outskirts of the village on West Leake Road, adjacent to the burial ground at LE12 6LJ.

The allotments themselves are managed by a voluntary committee, comprising association members. Apart from the usual posts of Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer, other committee responsibilities include; publicity, community development and environmental matters, alongside maintaining and improving the site. If you are interested in joining the committee you can be nominated at the AGM.
